  • KONKA to open LCD new module plant in Jiangsu, China

    Chinese television maker Konka has announced plans to invest 886 million RMB to build a LCD module plant in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, China.

    The new module plant, which is said to be China's largest of its kind, will have eight liquid crystal module production lines, of which, four are pure LCM production lines and four are LCM and TV integrative production lines. On the completion of the plant, it will have an annual capacity of 7.2 million units of LCM liquid crystal display module and 3.6 million LCD TVs.

  • Konka is appointed to be a screen supplier by 'Water Cube'

    Konka and the National Swimming Center (water cube) signed a cooperation agreement. Konka will provide the latest high-definition 'I-sport '2008 series of LCD TVs as display terminals throughout the venue, in order to ensure the movement of HD output terminal screen effective. Therefore, Konka became exclusive terminal screen provider to the two major venues of the Olympic Games out of three. (National Swimming Center and National Indoor Stadium)


    The National Aquatics Centre, known as 'The Water Cube', will be one of the most dramatic and exciting venues to feature sporting events for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. It will be the venue for swimming, diving, synchronized swimming and water-polo final during the Olympic Games.
